Diaper Covers & Prefold Diapers
Using the right size Diaperap® is very important in eliminating leakage. Remember, the elastic in the legs not only helps to prevent leakage, but also allows the Diaperap to grow with your baby. As baby grows, just stretch the Diaperap lengthwise as you pull it over baby¹s tummy.
How to use our waterproof diaper covers and diapers.
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3.
1. Fold prefold diaper in a "V" shape lengthwise and place diaper on the opened Diaperap® cover. (See photo) If the diaper is too long, fold the front end over. If you are using a diaper liner lay it on top of the diaper. Place under your baby. No need to use diaper pins.
2. Pull front up between baby's legs. Adjust and close tabs around baby's waist.
3. Be sure diaper is tucked completely inside the diaper cover.
Newborn Diapering
We offer small size diapers to better fit your newborn to 3 month old baby . If you are using Regular size diapers we recommend that you turn the diaper so that the longest part is horizontal, now fold the diaper in thirds. Place diaper on the opened cover. Now follow steps 2 & 3 above.
Avoid the midnight fumbles; prepare your diaper before bedtime to make middle of the night changes quick and easy.
Older and Wetter
As baby gets older you will probably need to double diaper at night. If you have "small size" diapers from when your baby was little , they make great diaper doublers!
Girls need extra absorbency in the middle. Take a diaper, open it and lay it down . Now take a second diaper, fold it into thirds lengthwise (so it forms a long panel) and lay it in the middle of your first diaper. Fold the first diaper into a "V"shape over the second diaper. Place them on your open Diaperap® and proceed and usual.
Boys need extra absorbency in the front. Take a diaper, open it and lay it down. Now take a second diaper, fold it in half and lay it across the front of your first diaper. Fold the diapers into a "V"shape and place them on your open Diaperap®. Now proceed as usual.
Baby-Proof Covers
Does your baby open their diaper cover?
If your baby can't resist the sound and feel of opening their diaper cover, you might want to try our Baby-Proof Covers. Our "little fingers" are actually little tabs of velcro that are attached to each end of the closure system . Baby lacks the dexterity to open them but it is easy for adults.
This product was tested on "genius" babies (or so their parents claimed !) who were already used to opening their diaper covers. They could not open the Baby-Proof Cover.
Training Pants
Our training pants are made so that a toddler can easily put them on and take them off. Please see our booklet on Potty Tips written by Rachael Flug, the President of Diaperaps. Remember, although our training pants are made to contain accidents, they are not diapers. They need to be changed as soon as possible after an accident occurs.
Swim Diapers
Our swim diapers are offered in many styles to meet each baby's need. All of them are designed to contain a bowel movement and thus prevent contamination in the water. You must exit the water and change your swim diaper immediately after such an accident. There is no absorbent diaper material inside of the swim diaper as this would weigh your baby down in the water and be very uncomfortable. |
