The Diaperaps® Advantage in Cloth Diapers
Invented by a Mom & the Founder of Diaperaps
In 1981 I invented Diaperaps diaper covers for my son Jonas, while living in hot and humid Hong Kong. By 1984 my husband and I had founded the Diaperaps® company. We are so pleased to be able to offer an excellent range of premium cotton diapers. You need to have a diaper absorbent enough to hold the wetness or else it just won't work. The stores are now only carrying thin diapers which are bought more for burp cloths and car washing rags than as "diapers".
Cloth Diaper Absorbency
The thicker the diaper the more absorbent it is. By thicker , I mean the "weight" of the cotton diaper. It's important to have an absorbent diaper that is not too bulky and doesn't take hours to dry. That's why we offer the "prefold" style. It¹s thicker in the middle than on the sides.
The best Diaper Service Quality diaper has 6 layers in the middle and 4 layers on each side. (thus they are called 4-6-4) However, there are many diapers labelled as "Diaper Service Quality" that are not , so watch out ! We also offer a super absorbent diaper which has 8 layers in the middle with 4 on each side(it is called 4-8-4). It is an absolutely thick and luscious diaper.
Two Different Sizes of Cloth Diaper: Infant and Regular
When a baby is born, they are really little and everything else is really big. This is the basic idea between the two different size diapers. The infant size (16" long by 12" wide) will fit inside the newborn and small diaper covers so much easier (up to 16 lbs.). Then they make great diaper doublers for your bigger baby (a doubler gives you extra absorbency for night time and as your baby gets older and wets more). The Regular size diaper (21" long by 14.5" wide) is better suited to a baby over 16 pounds. But don't worry, it is perfectly all right to use only the Regular size diapers on a newborn. You just have to fold it more.
